Vera started lifeguarding in Douglas Wyoming in 1983. She then moved to College Station, Texas to attend Texas A&M University. Vera is a graduate of Texas A&M University in Kinesiology with a Biology minor.
She has worked in College Station for the last 30 years. Vera enjoys “working” and spending precious time with her family and friends. Her most valuable experience in Aquatics was to have been invited and to have been able to teach for Scott Deisley at Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah Dubai, UAE. Her greatest accomplishments thus far are her children and to have received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Jeff Ellis and Associates for Aquatic Excellence. Her goals are to provide quality education to front-line aquatic supervisors and to provide opportunities for education throughout the Aquatic Industry.
