As Ellis & Associates marks 40 years of making a difference in aquatic safety, the company has named a new Medical Director, Dr. Roy Sittig. A former E&A lifeguard, Dr. Sittig, board-certified in internal medicine, has been practicing for nearly 20 years.
E&A was founded out of a desire to make the aquatic environment safer, and to save lives. For more than 40 years, that goal has been the driving factor in everything the company does, including research and testing of new procedures and products that make aquatics safer for swimmers and for lifeguards.
Lifeguards play a tremendous role at aquatic facilities; they are the first responders, keeping patrons safe and risking their own health for swimmers.
We have some incredible plans in store for International Lifeguard Appreciation Day (ILAD) this year so get ready to jump in!
E&A has marked more ‘first and only’ moments than any other aquatic safety organization in the world, including the first lifeguard training program designed specifically for pools and water parks, introduction of rescue tube technology, and establishment of the “10/20 Standard” for lifeguard accountability.
Phoenix, Arizona was once again home to the aquatic industry’s longest-running, largest, and most comprehensive safety school.
